The nomination period is from April 1, 2023, through April 30, 2023. Anyone can nominate a homeschooler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Servant Leadership Award is for homeschooled teens who reach out and help their community. The award also highlights the teenager&#8217;s leadership and initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of nomination, the teenager being nominated must be between 13 and 19 years old; they must be currently homeschooled; and they must have been homeschooled since the start of the current school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Their Service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The student&#8217;s service must reflect several things. First, their community service must have been performed since May of last year. Second, the community service must demonstrate initiative and\/or leadership on the part of the student. Lastly, the community service made a sustainable, meaningful impact on people\u2019s lives, especially those experiencing difficult <a href=\"https:\/\/hslda.org\/post\/nomination-information-for-the-servant-leadership-award\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hslda.org\/post\/nomination-information-for-the-servant-leadership-award\">living conditions or situations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Nominate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can nominate a homeschool teenager who fits the criteria of the award. To nominate a student, <a href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/90736126789166\">you can go here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Presentation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Servant Leadership Award winners and honorable mentions will be presented at the National Leaders Conference in September.
