Nominate A Homeschool Teen For HSLDA’s Servant Leadership Award

HSLDA is having a Servant Leadership Award for homeschooled teenagers across the country. The nomination period is from April 1, 2023, through April 30, 2023. Anyone can nominate a homeschooler.

The Award

The Servant Leadership Award is for homeschooled teens who reach out and help their community. The award also highlights the teenager’s leadership and initiative.

Criteria

At the time of nomination, the teenager being nominated must be between 13 and 19 years old; they must be currently homeschooled; and they must have been homeschooled since the start of the current school year.

Their Service

The student’s service must reflect several things. First, their community service must have been performed since May of last year. Second, the community service must demonstrate initiative and/or leadership on the part of the student. Lastly, the community service made a sustainable, meaningful impact on people’s lives, especially those experiencing difficult living conditions or situations.

Nominate

Anyone can nominate a homeschool teenager who fits the criteria of the award. To nominate a student, you can go here.

Presentation

The Servant Leadership Award winners and honorable mentions will be presented at the National Leaders Conference in September. HSLDA will cover the costs of travel and attending the first two days of the conference for the three winners and one parent each.
