Watch The Big Top Go Up!
Homeschool families do have many advantages. One advantage is rearranging our schedules to fit other learning opportunities. Monday, April 3, is a day for rearranging. The circus is coming to town!
The circus comes every 2-3 years. This is a one day only event. While many home schooling families have many members, it can be a small fortune to take everyone to actually watch the circus.
However, almost as much fun as the circus is watching the elephants put up the big tents! This is free. The trucks will set up at Piney Creek Park. This is the park on Highway 160 East of town. The public can show up to watch at 9:30 am. This is an outdoor activity, so it’s wise to dress accordingly. As many people have public school or regular jobs at this time, this is quite an opportunity for homeschool families to get out.
Many ideas can be learned while watching these happenings: for example, teamwork, no fighting, strength in numbers, knowing your job and doing it.
