Do you have a homeschool teenager interested in debate, law, or politics- or could be? Teenpact may be just what he needs. Spend a week in the spring in our state’s capitol, learning our governing system, writing bills, and meeting important legislatures up close while having fun and making friends. Registration is limited. In years past, teens from other states came to Missouri Teenpact because our capitol building did not shut down. Here is what you need to know.

Dates

Missouri Teenpact has three separate classes. They cover the same material, but the dates are different. The first is at the end of February. The next is in March. The final one is after Easter and the eclipse in April.

Registration

Registration is required to attend. Registering this month allows for an extra early bird discount. While a $50 deposit will reserve your place, the final sum is due before the event. You can register here.

Classwork

Teenpact does have homework to be completed before class begins. This entails definitions, writing a bill, and knowing our Missouri legislators. Teenpact offers 1/3 of a high school credit for attending this event. There is a business dress code requirement.

Families

While the teen is on the spot learning and debating, parents are talking and discussing ideas and opportunities. Younger children watch and learn, too.

Location

This happens in Jefferson City, Missouri. The classes take place at the Truman Center, with students walking between there and the Capitol. Families can stay at a hotel, Airbnb, or wherever they choose. Bring the entire family. Teenpact offers meal choices, too.

Teenpact trains Christian youth that one person can make a difference. Teenpact is open to Christian teenagers in every state.
