Missouri Is Defining Homeschool Laws- Give Your Opinion Now
Missouri lawmakers are defining statewide homeschool laws. Parts of former laws are being repealed. Other laws are to be enacted. Senate Bill 411 and SB 230 are being voted on Thursday, April 27.
Bill in a nutshell.
This bill redefines homeschoolers as FLEX schooling, Family-Led Educational Experience. It allows Flex school situations to participate in public school activities, including sports. It removes the mandate of notifying the local school district of the intent to homeschool.
Each family needs to think through this matter. There are benefits for home schooled families, as well as some not-too-promising ideas.
